Cleaning up my code and substack
Today, I’ve been trying to make some of my previous coding projects a bit prettier on the back and front end. I’ve also given my substack spaces a facelift. Let’s get into it.
Substack will now have three primary venues. You get to choose your own adventure.
You already have access to the OBSERVE and PLAN sections. They will have quarterly and weekly updates for the market, which will be emailed out on the first of each quarter and each Monday morning, respectively. The new weekly updates will be in a shorter format with my thoughts for the coming week and an update on my long-term considerations. Here are the latest ones for these sections.
The following two sections are not delivered by default. You have to opt into it. Even if you subscribe to the current newsletter, you must turn on emails for these new additions to have them delivered automatically. I didn’t want to blast folks with more content they didn’t necessarily want. You can still view the sections on the website or the app without toggling email delivery, but they won’t be sent to you at publication.

The ANALYZE section is a new one. I’ve split off some of the more technical portions of the past weekly updates and will post those here. I’ll also include some more technical analytical processes I use throughout my market analysis. This stuff can sometimes be dense, and I know many people aren’t interested in that sort of thing, so you get to choose if you want to engage with it. If you are up for the nitty gritty, I think it’ll be beneficial if you are interested in learning the process of analyzing yourself. Here’s the accompanying post for this past week’s update.
The ZEN NOTES section is new: a dumping ground for extra commentary, rants, projects I’m working on, interesting stuff, and more. It’s going to be a more personal side of Zenalytics. I’ll post here regularly, maybe not every day, but multiple times throughout the week. It will all be market or trading-related and likely somewhat educational, as most of my past commentary has been. I want a place to share that side of my mind and not have to force that on readers unless they absolutely want to engage with me in that way. I encourage those who subscribe to those emails to comment and reply. It’s nice not always to feel like I’m shouting into the empty void.
